Our Ethos


Fresh, local seasonal and sustainable are not just buzzwords in our business – it’s at the heart of what we do.

And we’ll go an extra mile to source the best ingredients and cut down the food miles.
Here is where we currently get our ingredients from:

  • Free range eggs (we use lots, lots of them!) – Harvest Moon Farm in Hertfordshire
  • Meat (pasta sauces, ravioli fillings) – Old Hall Farm Rare Breeds (East Sussex/Kent border)
  • Herbs and vegetables (pesto, pasta sauces) – organic and biodynamic¬†Perry Court Farm aka AG Brockman (Canterbury, Kent)

We try to use as little plastic as possible.
Our hot food takeaway containers and plates are made of sugar bagasse and are compostable. The cutlery is made of plant starch.
We also encourage customers to bring back pesto and pasta sauce jars by giving 20p back for each jar. Don’t worry about sticky labels – we’ll take care of it. (NB we thoroughly clean and sterilise every single jar before re-using)

Energy in our kitchen is supplied by Good Energy. Their electricity comes from local, natural sources like Cornish sunshine, Scottish wind and Welsh rain.
